Lewis: I never thought about leaving City
Rico Lewis
Rico Lewis did not contemplate leaving Man City on loan this summer, as he looks to solidify himself in Pep Guardiola's 2024/25 plans.
“I never thought about going anywhere," he told The Telegraph.
“I was training with the best players in the world and the best manager in the world day-in, day-out. It’s impossible not to learn stuff."
Lewis has been included in City's Champions League squad but is in List B, due to being born after January 1 2003.
Ronaldo's Al Nassr eye shock PL move
Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr were interested in a shock Deadline Day move for Manchester City midfielder Mateo Kovacic, according to CBS Sports.
They were reportedly ready to offer a staggering £840,000 per-week deal to lure him to the Middle East.
Their inability to clear space within their squad prevented them from making an attempt to sign the former Chelsea and Real Madrid ace.
De Bruyne opens up on injury struggles
Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has spoken about the difficulties he had coming back from a lengthy hamstring injury last season.
The 33-year-old missed 35 games in total for both club and country but made his return in January 2024, as City cruised to a fourth Premier League title in a row.
"I feel like being out for six months, people think you come back and you're going to be like this (perfect)," he told the Man City podcast.
"Obviously, Newcastle (when he scored and assisted on his comeback) was great but then there were some games when my body was really hurting because I've not done this for six months.
"I knew that after these pains from coming back, I knew I needed a really good Euros where I was physically top and then a break.
"And now I feel I'm back to what I was before so let's hope it keeps going."
